Materials
316L stainless steel, the surgical grade used for skin contact, and any gold on it is PVD plated: the colour is driven into the surface rather than laid on top, so it does not wear off at the edges.
Waterproof-grade: this one can be worn in the shower and in the sea. Rinse it in fresh water afterwards and dry it, and the finish is unaffected.
